2 Products that "Say No!" to Stretchmarks

I fully realize that stretch marks are becoming a trend (ex: Kendrick's verse in Humble), but I can proudly say that they are a trend that I won't be bandwagoning. My skin is super sensitive so I have to be careful what I put on it or I'll break out in rash. I can't even use Johnson Johnson's baby oil! Nevertheless, stretch marks are as natural as breathing. I actually have a few where the sun doesn't shine, but I would like to keep my skin as young as possible for as long as possible.

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula
Over the years I have come to enjoy the smell of cocoa butter. My boyfriend loves the smell too, and sometimes I'll catch him sneaking a little (LOL). If the smell bothers you, I strongly don't recommend using this. It has a smooth consistency and a medium weight on your skin. My mom told me to use this, and as a former OB, I have no doubt in my mind that it works. I use this as a body lotion right after the Bio Oil as soon as I get out of the shower.

Bio Oil
I was EXTREMELY skeptical about using this. My best friend recommended it to me, but I wanted to do a little more research on it. Some of the reviews stated that this worked wonders on their skin with stretch marks and scars, others said it didn't work or that the smell bothered them or that it ruined their clothes. The clothes part is their fault because oil stains anybody's clothes. It smells like a mixture of NyQuil and expensive perfume, but it wears off. Plus I use mine as sort of a primer for the Cocoa Butter, so that really masks the scent. This oil is probably the lightest oil I've ever used, and it comes out in drops so its easy to control. I've been using it for about two weeks and so far, so good.

Stretch mark prevention is really about your lifestyle. It's such a cliche, but healthy skin comes with hydration, eating habits, sleep schedule, and exercise. Lotions and oils are just the cherry on top. Finding the right ones just include making sure the product has all the right vitamins in it.
