If you follow me on social media, you know that I finally received my gift from the stork! Nu was born last Wednesday, November 15, 2017. The day after my birthday (thank god lol)!

I received this bag as a gift from Nu's Godfather at my baby shower. I was so overwhelmed with joy when I opened it, I actually teared up.
While I was waiting to use it for its intended purpose, I used it as my go-bag.
The main goal is to bring whatever will make you feel the most at ease during your stay at the hospital. A glorified overnight bag if you will.
Heres a list of what I brought:
- 2 nursing bras
- 3 pairs of granny panties (loose underwear)
- clothes to wear so you won't be stuck in the hospital gown
- a going home outfit
- one for me
- one for dad
- two for Nu (just in case)
- 2 pairs of warm, fuzzy socks with grip
- 1 pair of socks for Nu
- Hunter slides
- Sugar-free Jolly Ranchers
- Simply facial wipes
- Honest nipple cream
- Dove deodorant
- a pack of toothbrushes
- Toothpaste
- Carmex chapstick
- U by Kotex heavy-duty pads with wings
- Focal point (something to look at while I push)
Don't forget:
- ID
- Birthing Plan (if you have one)
- Phone
- Charger(s)
- Pre-charged portable charger
Snacks:
- Kettle-cooked Jalapeño chips
- Individual bags of Doritos
- Welches Fruit Snacks
- Cheez-Its
- Pineapples
- Grapes
- WATER
Although these snacks keep me satisfied during my stay, I was fiending for real food. If you're like me and my boyfriend, you won't like the hospital food, so make sure to have a friend or family member secured with the job of bringing real, healthy food and water bottles.
Now that I'm home and getting used to mom life, I've replaced a lot of the stuff in the bag with everyday products such as:
- Huggies newborn diapers
- Boudreaux's Butt Paste
- Huggies wipes
- Hand sanitizer
- Pacifier
- Pacifier wipes
- a change of clothes for Nu
- U by Kotex pads
- day-to-day purse essentials
- wallet
- chapstick
- etc.
